Qilong's Ingenia/color that ingenia! challenge

this was initially inspired by the stripes between some sparrow's wings, but now I think it looks somewhere between a ptarmigan, a prairie chicken, an ostrich chick, and a pheasant.
I think it'd do a pretty good job of breaking up the silhouette.
